How the leaves work

FROM ABOVE FROM UNDERNEATH

The top separates along the centre line and runs on equalizer slides — two toothed racks meshed to a gear, so both halves travel out by exactly the same amount and the table stays centred in your room.

01Pull the two halves apart. Two people, one at each end.
02Drop the leaf into the gap. It locates on pins, so it can only go in one way and sits flush.
03Push it closed until the seam pulls tight. The whole thing takes only minutes.

Leaf options

One 12″ leaf+12″
One 18″ leaf+18″
Two 18″ leaves+36″
Any size you needCustom

Those are our standard leaves, not our limits. We build leaves to any width, and more than two if you need them — tell us the closed length you want and the open length you need and we will make it work.

Worth knowing

Your leaves are cut from the same boards as your top, taken from the ends, so color and character stay very close. Grain is not always a perfect continuation across the join — that is normal on solid hardwood and it reads as one table, not a patch.

Allow 36″ of clearance around the open table for chairs to pull out — measure the open length, not the closed one.
