A pedestal base puts all the support in the center, so there are no corner legs to bump knees or block a chair. Every chair gets the same legroom, and you can often fit one more seat than at a four-leg table of the same size. Our pedestal dining tables are built to order in solid walnut, white oak and maple by our craftsmen in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Many furniture makers switch to a double base once a table gets big. We don’t have to. Because every table is built to order, we scale the pedestal to the top: a compact base for a 48″ round, a wider, heavier one for a 72″ or 84″ round. You get a solid table with open legroom at any size.
