Why Choose the COAST Shuffleboard Table?

The COAST is where warm hardwood meets cold-rolled steel. A clean square box sits on welded steel U-shaped legs — an open, architectural stance that makes the whole table look like it is floating. Stunning from every angle, and every bit as playable as it is good looking.

Premium Michigan-Made Materials

Each COAST table is built from locally sourced Michigan hardwoods with a 2″ thick butcher block playing surface finished in crystal-clear, UV-resistant epoxy. The steel U legs are welded and powder coated for a finish that will not chip or scuff, and the felt-lined gutter option keeps play quiet.

Playing surface is nominal, figured 16″ shorter than the overall cabinet. Room length allows 2½′ minimum / 3′ recommended of standing room at each end; room width allows walk-around clearance on both sides. Confirm final dimensions on your order. Consistent humidity control keeps the playfield flat and true — all real wood moves, and small cracks and fissures over time are characteristic of solid hardwood, not a defect.

Good to know

Living with a solid wood table

Variation in color and knotsThe photos you see online are exactly that — photos. Wood can look different in person, under different lighting and in different rooms. All real wood has variation running through it, and that variation should be expected rather than treated as a fault.Tables can come with knots, which we fill with epoxy. If you want a clean top with no knots, tell us and we'll quote it that way.
Humidity controlIf the humidity in your home is too low, furniture can dry out and crack. Too high, and it can warp. The best environment for a Lumber2Love piece is a relative humidity of roughly 35–45%.
Heat exposureAvoid placing your furniture where a heat source points directly at it. Somewhere with decent air circulation will treat it much better over the years.
Sunlight exposureTry to keep it out of direct sun. Continual exposure to sunlight — and to fluorescent light — can change both the wood and the finish over time.
Water and spillsThe catalyzed varnish finish is spill resistant and handles daily life well, but it's still wise to wipe up spills promptly. Standing liquid left long enough will damage any wood surface.
CleaningA damp cloth is genuinely all you need. Dry dusting can drag small grit across the surface and scratch the finish. If you'd rather use a polish, avoid anything with silicone, wax solvents or abrasives.
