If you want a clean top with no knots, tell us and we'll quote it that way.Humidity controlIf the humidity in your home is too low, furniture can dry out and crack. Too high, and it can warp. Continual exposure to sunlight — and to fluorescent light — can change both the wood and the finish over time.Water and spillsThe catalyzed varnish finish is spill resistant and handles daily life well, but it's still wise to wipe up spills promptly. Standing liquid left long enough will damage any wood surface.CleaningA damp cloth is genuinely all you need. Dry dusting can drag small grit across the surface and scratch the finish. If you'd rather use a polish, avoid anything with silicone, wax solvents or abrasives.
